Fall Refresh:
Aligning Your Home with the Season Through Empowered Arrangement™
Fall is the perfect time for a seasonal refresh that clears stagnant buildup and prepares your home for the months ahead. Life gets busy, so I recommend scheduling this reset alongside your regular household routines or adding it to your holiday prep checklist. A little planning makes it effortless.
Once the cleaning, decluttering, and reset are complete, I review the floor plan and the Spatial Influence Grid™ a nine zone overlay that reveals how different areas of your home support different areas of your life.
I make a list of the Life Zones I want to focus on based on what’s happening for me right now: personal goals, travel, studies, relationships, or areas that need more mindfulness. The center of the grid represents overall wellbeing, while the surrounding zones each correspond to a different life theme. You can apply the grid to your entire home or evaluate it room by room.
I always begin with the exterior. Our courtyard is small, so I treat it as one unified zone. Inside, I apply the grid room by room to get a more detailed picture of how each space is functioning.
Seasonal Focus: Fall Zones
If you want to work specifically with the energy of Fall, you’ll focus on the Southwest and West Life Zones, both of which align with autumn themes of grounding, reflection, creativity, and connection.
I balance these zones using Design Drivers, the shapes, colors, and materials that naturally support the season. I follow the 60/40 method (60% seasonal drivers, 40% personal preference), but ultimately, it’s about what feels right to you. Balance matters more than perfection.
You can also use these zones to support physical wellbeing. Each Life Zone corresponds to a different part of the body, so if something needs extra care, you can make gentle enhancements in that area of your home.
Below are the two Life Zones highlighted for Fall:
Relationship & Connection Zone
Design Drivers: Pinks, reds, whites, pastels
Shape Influence: Square
Seasonal Influence: Late Summer → Fall
Body Connection: Abdomen and internal organs
Elemental Driver: Neutral (no dominant material)
Creativity & Expression Zone
Design Drivers: White, silver, gray, copper
Shape Influence: Round
Seasonal Influence: Fall
Body Connection: Mouth
Elemental Driver: Metal
Once these enhancements are complete, your home is primed to support your goals with greater ease. A refreshed flow makes everyone feel better, elevates your mood, and creates a ripple effect that follows you everywhere. Small, intentional changes can have a massive impact on your daily life and the people you interact with.
If you’re ready to bring this kind of intentional alignment into your own home, you can schedule your Empowered Arrangement™ session anytime at Book Online | The Divine Chi
When you shift the flow of your space, you open yourself to new possibilities.
